    ABOUT THE PLAY

On a brisk Wyoming night, four young conservatives return to celebrate the induction of their mentor as president of a small Catholic college. One week after the Charlottesville riot, generational tensions run high, spiritual longing runs deep and their reunion quickly escalates into a ferocious battle over the country’s future — and their own. With grace, insight and disarming clarity, Will Arbery’s 2020 Pulitzer Prize finalist takes audiences into the heart of a country at war with itself.

Heroes of the Fourth Turning was a finalist for the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and won the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play, the Outer Critics Circle John Gassner Playwriting Award and the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Play. Will Arbery was a co–producer on HBO’s Succession and his other plays include Plano, Evanston Salt Costs Climbing and Corsicana.
